Another video emerges! We had such a good time going over the basics of FM synthesis last week that I decided to keep the fun going! This week, we looked mostly at the matter of the algorithm (no, not the one that keeps your social media updates from fans unless you pay Meta; these algorithms aren’t nearly so vexatious, despite their reputation). These algorithms are the key to using FM with more than two operators, so kinda important! We also looked briefly at using LFOs, pitch envelopes, detuning and other standard synthesis tools and techniques with FM. Enjoy!
