Okay, I guess we will do another status report. Turns out I have some news to disseminate that is ideal for this status update format. So let’s get to that, shall we?
First, and most importantly, a reorganization and clean up of my Bandcamp is coming. Early on my tendency to release two or three tracks at a time as an EP was fine, but now there are a lot of releases up there (and, frankly, I am unhappy with some of my early album, art) and it’s borderline overwhelming. So I am combining some early releases into bigger releases. This does mean that some releases that are up there will disappear — the music won’t (it’ll be added to a different release), but the release will.
I’ll also be reviewing, tweaking and standardizing pricing on all of my releases, as well as expanding to other platforms (Ampwall, Mirlo and possibly Subvert).
Specifically, the three Haunted Space Objects releases will be combined into one, and it will be a paid release (they are all currently free). The Ether Diver and These Damn Birds EPs will become a single album (I am adding one or more bonus tracks, too!). “Schizophrenia Simulator OST” will be added to Is Life in Dreams Are Made Of? (along with possibly a new bonus track…). And that’ll do it! I will be setting these all to paid albums, possibly with some variety in pricing. I will, however, be offering lots of free codes around! Still, if you want to extract Max Value, go download all the freebies now! (Or again, just ask for codes LOL.)
I won’t be deleting anything, at least not right away. The deprecated releases will be set to private for now, so if you own them I think you can still access them. And I’ll be adding all the tracks from the removed releases to other, existing releases. If you already own Ether Diver, for example, you will gain a bunch of new tracks on the release already in your collection. And if you own These Damn Birds but not Ether Diver, I will send you a code for Ether Diver on request, since it got added to the other!
Once it’s cleaned up and consolidated I will be offering some cool new physical media/merch options, too… stay tuned for that.
I am very close to the first Synthesizer Mystic release (that’s the cover up there!). It will be a series of short works created entirely on the Make Noise Easel (Strega + 0-Coast + 0-CTRL) with one added effects unit (and one track of only Easel). I’ll make formal announcements when there is something formal to announce.

Sometimes I wish Bandcamp had more options to organize or separate releases into different types or sections, so the earlier (and worse) stuff might be moved to an isolated shelf while putting the decent, newer stuff at front. Of course we can choose the order for releases to appear in the index, but that’s not the same. And over time if our discography grows too large it may be overwhelming for new potential listeners, or worse: to give the bad impression of “quantity over quality”. Hopefully just setting the worse stuff as private won’t affect those who bought/donated to these, but so far I didn’t see anyone confirming that.
