If you’re looking to get some authentic (i.e. non digital plugin) tape sounds on your music, samples or mixes, I can help. The price is $15 for 45 minutes; additional $1 per 3 minutes over that ($1/per 3 minutes with a $15 minimum) of audio run thru authentic magnetic tape and back to digital. I offer reel-to-reel and 3 different cassette deck options, plus a few specialty options (VHS, 8-track, microcassette) for an extra charge.
I have all kinds of tape, from uber low quality “voice only” tape to high end metal cassettes; price is the same, it’s just dependent on what you want. I can also offer multi generational transfers and damaged tape transfers for really lofi effects.
I will also happily include the cassette or reel that I use if you want it for some reason, but that’s definitely an upcharge (modest for cassette, pretty steep for reels).
I have multiple different tape machines including a TEAC A-4300SX 1/4″ reel-to-reel; cassette decks include a Nakamichi LX-5, AKAI GX-M50 and JVC KD-V6, plus a Tascam 424 mk III multitracker, numerous handheld/portable options and more.
Special options, at a premium price, include microcassette, 8-track and VHS. Contact me for details/pricing on these special options.
On the other hand, if you have old cassettes or reel-to-reel recordings you need transferred to digital, I can do that too. The price is essentially the same: $15 for 45 minutes; additional $1 per 3 minutes over that ($1/per 3 minutes with a $15 minimum). I can handle any type of cassette up to four-track recordings; reel-to-reel is 1/4″ stereo or mono only. Microcassette and 8-track are the same price!
